Track Champion thanks to Crew Chief Pro!

Happy Holidays!! Thanks for all your hard work. Here is photo from one of my wins. Figured you may be able to use it with the little article you wrote on your web page. Race results for the 2022 season one track championship, second place finish in state points with missing one race due to failed ignition box. And one Ironman win. Couldn’t have done it without your wonderful product Crew Chief Pro Software. Thanks again Jason Erfle

Made more money than ever before with Crew Chief Pro

Jason Erfle called to tell us he made more money bracket racing than ever before after he bought our Crew Chief Pro Software!

ATTN: NHRA Sportsman Racers

Crew Chief Pro is now an official NHRA contingency sponsor.

NHRA Drag Racers: Crew Chief Pro signed up to be a contingency sponsor through NHRA. For the last 20 plus years we have paid racers with our own program, but now we will be official through NHRA.

Those of you who already used and know our contingency program will think, “OK, so what?” You are correct, nothing will change. But now other racers will hear about it and benefit from these changes.

The rules have not changed, and are very simple. Normal NHRA decal rules apply.
1) Buy Crew Chief Pro from us.
2) Place the decals on the side of your car so we can see them in photos.
3) You must be current on paid updates for existing customers.
4) Win, or Runner-Up at a National or Divisional event.

Same payout as we always paid. $100 winner/$50 Runner-Up for National events. $50 winner/$25 Runner-Up on Divisional races.

We like to be the first to pay, and will expedite payments once paperwork is turned in or emailed to us.

My first win in Super Comp!

Michael Holcombe You are absolutely right. This was not only my 1st National Event Win. It was my 1st Wally period. And at my home track. At which that was the last ever NHRA National Event being held there. Couldn’t write a better story. And I will tell you since I upgraded my Crew Chief Pro, and bought the new weather station from y’all. I’ve been to 3 races. All super comp, 2 division semis and a national win. There’s obviously more to it then the weather / software. But it’s helped tremendously getting everything back working like it should. Can’t say thank you enough.

NHRA Division 4 Super Street Champion

Karl Millican, the 2021 Division 4 Super Street Champion, emailed us to say: “Thanks for helping me win the 2021 D4 SST championship. couldn’t have done it without Crew Chief Pro Software.”

Lauren Freer Doubles up!

Long time Crew Chief Pro customer Lauren Freer doubled up winning both Super Comp and Super Gas using Crew Chief Pro and her new weather station we sold her a few weeks ago. This is the second time she has doubled up!

Crew Chief Pro had me dialed!

From Justin Rosenbaum: “We are in Las Veags this weekend for the NHRA Division 7 doubleheader. Yesterday was a long but very productive day. We started the day with 105 cars in super comp. We ended the day in the semifinals at 4 cars left. This car was fantastic all day and just kept putting down the number. I made a mistake at the tree in the semis. My Panella Race Engines was perfect. Crew Chief Pro software was predicting spot on all day. Thanks to our sponsors for helping us get this car on track. It’s time for race 2 today. We need lots of win lights to keep moving up in the points!”

New Features in Crew Chief Pro Software!

Crew Chief Pro Software customers here are some of the latest changes which will be available in tonight’s update:

First, in order to make entering ET information easier, I’ve added the ability to enter whole numbers and let Crew Chief Pro adjust your reaction time for you. For example: I enter ” 8 ” in the Reaction Time field and press enter, Crew Chief Pro will change the value to .008 instantly. If you enter ” 26 ” and press enter, Crew Chief Pro will change it to .026. This is to speed up data entry for those of you who are decimal challenged… Take a look at the screen shots.

Now if you are RED by .006, all you need to enter is ” -6 ” and we will change the value to -.006 when you press enter. NOTE: This also works on the OPPONENT INFORMATION TAB on the Opponent’s Reaction time.

Second, I changed the Text Messaging output to stay below the number of characters most providers require. What was happening was Crew Chief Pro customers would receive two text messages in a row. It took quite a bit of twisting of the output in order to prevent this from happening. These changes will be in both the big car version, as well as the Junior Dragster version.

Many of my customers are unaware of a very important feature in Crew Chief Pro. You don’t need Decimal places in any of the ETs or MPH fields. We will automatically put decimal points in the correct location after you press enter. For example, say your Eighth Mile ET time is 4.487, all you need to enter is 4487 and press enter and we will fix it for you. Same way on MPH.

But Who Will Save The Children

A suspense / thriller novel by Don Higgins

This is a new novel by the creator of Crew Chief Pro Software. I’ve written many books as a distraction, but this one always kept me writing. I need a distraction from writing software from time to time. So, I started writing short stories that helped me return focus back to the software development. This story is special to me, and it just kept getting better and better.

This is a thriller/suspense novel. The main character of this novel is Mick Anderson. Tormented by strange issues with his hands and fingers his entire life, doctors are unable to understand or cure the condition. So, to prevent ridicule, he’s forced to keep this embarrassing condition a secret, and suffer in silence.

That all changes when he crosses paths with a young girl in a mall. Shortly after this encounter, Mick finds out this young girl has been kidnapped. After several strange encounters, he stumbles onto something that makes him investigate further.

Mick thinks he is helping the police find the missing girl, but is quickly considered the main suspect by the police. His life explodes when he’s forced into a race against time to clear his name, and find this young girl before she is murdered.

Mick must be one step ahead of the police and kidnappers as he searches for answers. During this time he realizes that other children are also in danger and he’s forced to confront his past before time runs out to save the children. Mick’s life quickly changes from a once quiet and mundane existence to one amazing adventure after another as he attempts to put the pieces of this mixed up puzzle back together.

It’s an exciting and dangerous time for Mick as he comes to terms with his new purpose. Each day brings new awareness and capabilities he never knew existed. The question he needs answered is, “Do I have the time to figure this out before other children are murdered?”

Leo Zynda – Division 3 Super Gas Champion

Crew Chief Pro Spotlight today is on Leo Zynda. Leo is one of the hardest working men in the .90 categories. His friend, and sidekick, Paul Turini are at every race with a smile on their faces, ready to do battle.

Leo has been racing since before dinosaurs roamed the earth. He is always a threat in either Super Gas, or Super Comp. Leo is the owner of the Ring & Pinion Shop for 45 plus years. His T-shirts are great.

Always willing to help a fellow racer, Leo is a great ambassador to the sport. And now, in 2020, he is the Division 3 Super Gas Champion! Congrats from everyone here at Crew Chief Pro Software.

Here is a story published a few years back with even more information about Champion Leo.
